In the video below, Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is seen to make a spectacular grab to save a reporter from certain death - or at least serious injury. Granted, Evan may have had a little help from video editing, but at the professional level at least, comparable performances no doubt occur every time an umpire gives the command to play ball.
